melbourne artist michelle hamer creates art using the uncommon material of needle point. since 2003,
she has been creating hand-stitched images using thread and perforated plastic sheets. she began
this practice after being house bound for seven years due to illness. her work focuses on informative
imagery and draws a comparison between needlepoint and digital imaging
